The One With All The FRIENDS References

Huge fans of the 90s sitcom, FRIENDS, we’ve placed at least one reference to the show in each of our escape rooms. There are no game spoilers here, but if you want to try to find the references on your own, you may want to leave this page now. But, if you would like a heads up as to where you can find these little FRIENDS Easter eggs when you play an ESCAPE! Alaska escape room, read on!

It all starts in the ESCAPE! Alaska lobby, with this replica of Monica’s French toy ad poster.

We opted for this iconic poster that was hanging over Monica’s TV instead of Phoebe’s creepy “Gladys” artwork for our lobby.

THE TOMB - SHAFIK’S JOURNAL

The Antagonist’s journal in THE TOMB actually has Ross Geller’s initials on it, a nod to FRIENDS season 4, episode 8, “The One With Chandler In A Box.”

“I don’t know, R.G., I was thinkin’ something girly for your office.”

NOIR - TREEGER’S DOOR

Mr. Treeger is the superintendent of the apartment building where Monica, Rachel, Chandler and Joey live. In populating the 5th floor of the Reliance Building where NOIR is set, it seemed appropriate to have a Treeger Property Management office.

“I was sweepin’ yesterday. Coulda been me.” - Mr. Treegrer

NOIR - PAINTING

Detective Ed Miller has a painting in his office that just looks like a New York apartment building, but it’s not just any residential stack of bricks - this is the external establishing shot of Monica’s apartment.

This was your first home and it was a happy place filled with love and laughter but more importantly, because it was rent controlled it was a freakin’ steal.’ - Chandler
