ESCAPE! ALASKA
Terms of Service, Booking & Game Policies, and Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 31, 2026. Supersedes all prior policies.
PART I — BOOKING & GAME POLICIES
1. Eligibility and Age
You must be at least 18 years old to book and pay for an ESCAPE! Alaska experience. Any booking made by a minor using an adult's payment card is subject to the same non-refundable policy as any other booking.
Age requirements:
Adults (18+) of any age.
Ages 12-17 may play with parental signatures and at least one paid parent accompanying them in the game.
Children under 12 may play but require additional Deposit & Fees.
Infants or toddlers who remain secured in a stroller, car seat, or carrier for the entire game do not require paid admission or a deposit but must be listed and signed for on the group's waiver.
At least one paid parent or legal guardian must accompany any group that includes minors and must remain in the room. An adult who is simply 18 or older does not satisfy this requirement.
ESCAPE! Alaska reserves the right to refuse service to any person we reasonably believe may be harmful to our guests, staff, or business, consistent with applicable law.
2. Payment, Deposits, and No-Refund Policy
All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. We do not hold time slots without payment. Escape rooms are a calendar-based business, and unused time cannot be recovered, so admission fees are not refundable.
If you cannot keep your appointment, your only options are to reschedule once (see Section 3) or to receive an e-Gift Card by email for future use, subject to the timing rules below.
Minor damage / group deposit. Groups that include children under 12 must pay a single $100 deposit before playing (one deposit per group, not per child). After the game, once staff confirm the room and props are present and undamaged, $77 is refunded. A $20 service charge is non-refundable and a $3 card-processing fee applies, so the maximum refund is $77 even when no damage occurs. ESCAPE! Alaska is not responsible for the time a bank or card issuer takes to post the refund.
3. Rescheduling and Rebooking
A booking may be rescheduled only once. A booking created from an e-Gift Card issued for a cancelled booking, or a booking already rescheduled by ESCAPE! Alaska staff, is final and cannot be rescheduled again.
Rebooking fees are based on how far in advance you make the change:
More than 4 hours before your game: reschedule or request an e-Gift Card at no charge.
Less than 4 hours before your game: a flat $50 rebooking fee applies per time slot booked.
No call / no show: if you do not arrive and have not contacted us, all rescheduling and gift-card options are forfeited without refund. The game is closed 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time.
4. Arrival and Game Start
Arrive in the ESCAPE! Alaska lobby promptly at your scheduled time. Your slot includes time to sign waivers, add players, check coats and bags, use the restroom, play your game, and take a group photo, followed by reset time for the next group. Because the schedule is fixed, players who arrive late may lose game time; the clock, not your arrival, determines how much time your group has.
Posted hours indicate times available for booking only. We do not guarantee that walk-ins can play or that the lobby is open during unbooked periods.
5. Conduct, Impairment, and Odor
ESCAPE! Alaska is an immersive, experiential business, and a single group's conduct or odor can ruin the experience for everyone who follows. Accordingly:
We may deny entry, without refund, to any player we believe to be impaired, or who arrives smelling strongly of marijuana, cigarette or cigar smoke, body odor, or any other strong or offensive odor. Impaired players also put themselves, our staff, and our sets and props at risk.
Whether an odor is "strong" or "offensive" is determined at the sole discretion of ESCAPE! Alaska management.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere inside ESCAPE! Alaska and within 20 feet of our entrance per municipal code.
Players who violate any ESCAPE! Alaska rule or policy — including instructions given verbally by staff before or during a game — may be removed and their game terminated without refund.
6. Player Bans
Players may be banned, temporarily or permanently, from ESCAPE! Alaska escape rooms and any related or future attraction, including haunted houses. Bans are at the sole discretion of ESCAPE! Alaska management and are based on a player's behavior before, during, or after a visit. Bannable conduct includes, but is not limited to:
Disputing a credit-card charge when ESCAPE! Alaska was ready and able to honor the booking;
Arriving impaired or smelling strongly of marijuana or other strong or offensive odors; or
Threatening, harassing, or abusing staff or other guests.
7. Rules of the Escape Rooms
No force. No physical force or prying is required or allowed. If something resists, it is not meant to be moved, pushed, pulled, or opened at that time.
No climbing. Nothing you need is above 5'6", so climbing is never necessary.
No outside tools. Personal tools — nail files, multi-tools, keys, and the like — may not be used inside the rooms. Everything you need to finish the game is already in the room.
Phones. You may keep your phone on you, but it must stay put away during the game. If you need to make or take a call or text, step back to the lobby; you may re-enter when you are finished.
No photos or video. Taking photos or video inside a room is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your game without refund. Your Game Director takes a group photo at the end and sends it to you at no charge.
No beverages. Beverages are not allowed in the escape rooms.
Team names. ESCAPE! Alaska reserves the right to alter or change any team name.
Failure to follow any rule posted on our website, stated in your confirmation email, contained in these Terms, or given by an ESCAPE! Alaska representative may result in players being turned away or the game cancelled without refund.
8. Atmospherics
Any ESCAPE! Alaska production may include some or all of the following: themed scents; synthetic or real fog or mist; the aroma of cigar or cigarette smoke; and thematic lighting, including low or no light and intermittent or flashing lights. Additional atmospheric elements may be used to enhance theme and immersion.
9. Damage, Cleaning, and Repair Charges
If a player's actions damage props or sets or require extra cleaning or maintenance, a minimum charge of $13 will be assessed for one hour of labor. This charge may increase depending on the total time and materials required, and is separate from and in addition to any group deposit.
PART II — MINORS
Waiver of Liability
Every minor (anyone under 18) must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Minors without a signed waiver at game time may cause your group to lose game time while it is completed.
Parent or Guardian in the Room
A group that includes minors must be accompanied by at least one paid parent or legal guardian, who must remain in the room. An adult who is merely 18 or older does not qualify.
Deposit & Fees (Ages 9–11)
Groups with children aged 9–11 must pay a single $100 deposit before playing (one per group, not per child). After staff confirm the room and props are undamaged, $77 is refunded. A $20 service charge is non-refundable and a $3 card-processing fee applies. ESCAPE! Alaska does not control how long your bank or card issuer takes to post the refund.
Infants and Toddlers
Infants and toddlers are allowed only if they remain secured to an adult or in a stroller for the entire game. They do not require paid admission or a deposit but must be listed on your waiver. Children under 9 who are not confined to a stroller or carrier are not permitted in ESCAPE! Alaska attractions.
PART III — WEBSITE TERMS OF USE
Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Use are a binding agreement between you (personally or on behalf of an entity) and ESCAPE! Alaska Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of www.escapealaska.com and any related media, mobile site, or application (the "Site"), together with our bookings, products, and services (collectively with the Site, the "Services"). The Content and Marks are provided "as is" for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of the Site without our prior written permission. Your Representations
By using the Services you represent that: (1) all information you submit through the Site, our booking platform (Resova), and our waiver platform (Buzzshot) is true, accurate, current, and complete, and you will keep it updated; (2) you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms; (3) you are at least 18, or a minor acting with verifiable parental or guardian consent; (4) you will not access the Services by automated means except standard search-engine or browser use; (5) you will not use the Services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose; and (6) your use will not violate any applicable law.
If any information you provide is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, we may suspend or terminate your access and refuse any current or future use of the Services.

We try to display our products and services accurately, but we do not guarantee that colors, descriptions, or other details are error-free, and your display may not match them exactly. Availability, features, and prices may change at any time.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information and to keep it updated. Sales tax will be added where required. All payments are in U.S. dollars. You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for your order. We may refuse or limit any order and may correct pricing errors even after an order is placed.

Physical items purchased through our website or location may be returned within 30 days of purchase in their original condition for a refund, less a 10% restocking fee. Gift cards and escape-room bookings are not refundable.
Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Services for any purpose other than what we make them available for, and not to: (a) systematically collect or scrape data or content without our written permission; (b) deceive, defraud, or mislead us or other users; (c) circumvent or interfere with the Site's security features; (d) use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm anyone, including our staff; (e) upload viruses or other harmful code, or spam or overload the Site; (f) impersonate another user; (g) copy, decompile, or reverse-engineer the Site's software except as permitted by law; (h) frame or link to the Site without authorization; (i) use any automated system, bot, or scraper except standard search-engine indexing; (j) remove any copyright or proprietary notice; (k) sell or transfer your account; or (l) use the Services for any unlawful purpose or to compete with us.
User Content and Feedback
The Site does not generally invite users to post content. If we ever allow you to submit reviews, comments, photos, suggestions, or other material ("Contributions"), you represent that they are yours to share, are accurate, do not infringe anyone's rights, and are not unlawful, obscene, harassing, or otherwise objectionable. You retain ownership of your Contributions, and we may remove any Contribution at our discretion. Any feedback or suggestions you send us may be used by us for any purpose without compensation to you.
Third-Party Websites and Content
The Services may link to third-party websites and content that we do not control or monitor. We are not responsible for them, and including a link does not mean we endorse it. If you leave the Site or use third-party content, you do so at your own risk and should review that third party's terms and privacy practices. Any purchase you make from a third party is solely between you and that third party.
Site Management
We may, but are not obligated to, monitor the Services for violations, take legal action against violators, remove or disable content, and otherwise manage the Services to protect our rights and their proper operation.
Term and Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. We may deny access to the Services to anyone, at any time, for any or no reason, including for breach of these Terms or any law, without notice or liability. If we terminate or suspend your access, you may not create a new account under your name or any other name. We may also pursue appropriate legal remedies.
Modifications and Interruptions
We may change, modify, or remove any part of the Services at any time without notice, and we are not obligated to update any information. We cannot guarantee the Services will always be available and are not liable for any interruption, delay, or discontinuance.
Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Dispute Resolution
Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (and, where appropriate, the AAA's Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes), except for the disputes excluded below. You understand that you are giving up your right to sue in court and to a jury trial. Arbitration will take place in Anchorage, Alaska, and may be conducted in person, by documents, by phone, or online. The arbitrator must follow applicable law.
No class actions. Arbitration is limited to your individual dispute. To the fullest extent allowed by law, disputes may not be joined with others or brought as a class or representative action.
Exceptions. The following are not subject to arbitration: (a) disputes about intellectual-property rights; (b) claims of theft, piracy, invasion of privacy, or unauthorized use; and (c) claims for injunctive relief. If arbitration does not apply, the dispute will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Anchorage, Alaska, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction and venue. Any dispute must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SITE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, AND YOUR USE OF IT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE ABOUT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE SITE'S CONTENT. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ESCAPE! Alaska Inc. and its officers, agents, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or any harmful act toward another user. We may assume the defense of any such matter at your expense, and you agree to cooperate.
Electronic Communications and Signatures
By using the Site, emailing us, or completing our online forms, you consent to receive communications electronically and agree that electronic agreements, notices, and records satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing. You consent to electronic signatures and records for all transactions with us.
Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with any policies we post, are the entire agreement between you and us. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may assign our rights and obligations at any time. These Terms create no partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship, and will not be construed against us as drafter.
PART IV — PRIVACY POLICY
ESCAPE! Alaska Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through www.escapealaska.com, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and how we protect it. By using the Site, you consent to the practices described here. We may update this Policy from time to time; please check this page periodically. If we ever intend to use previously collected personal information in a materially different way, we will notify affected users by email and give them a choice.
Information We Collect
Whether to share personal information with us is always your choice, but if you decline we may be unable to register you or provide certain products or services. We collect:
Information you provide voluntarily — such as your name, address, email address, and billing or payment-card information — when you book, purchase, or contact us.
Information collected automatically when you visit, such as cookies, third-party tracking technologies, server logs, IP address, browser type, and operating system.
Why We Collect Information and How Long We Keep It
We collect your information to provide the services you request, to improve our services and products, to send promotional messages when you have consented, to invite you to surveys or research when you have consented, and to tailor the Site to your preferences. We keep personal information only as long as necessary for these purposes and to meet legal, contractual, and record-keeping obligations.
How We Use and Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or lease our customer lists or your personal information to third parties. We may use your information to operate the Site, deliver services you request, and — where permitted — tell you about other products, services, surveys, or research. We use third-party social-media tools (Facebook and Instagram), which may collect your IP address and use cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.
Please note: our social-media channels are not monitored regularly. For booking changes or any urgent or time-sensitive matter, contact us by email at director@escapealaska.com rather than through social media or direct messages.
We may disclose your information only: as needed to provide the products or services you ordered; as otherwise described in this Policy or with your consent; in aggregated form that cannot identify you; as required by law or in response to a subpoena or search warrant; to auditors bound by confidentiality; as needed to enforce our Terms of Service; and as needed to protect our rights and property. We may also contact you for non-marketing reasons, such as security or account issues or changes to our services.
Children Under 13
Our Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Site.
Your Choices and Opt-Out
You may stop receiving marketing emails or newsletters from us at any time by emailing director@escapealaska.com and asking to unsubscribe. To opt out of any third-party site, contact that site directly. We will continue to protect any information already collected in accordance with this Policy.
Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information online and offline. Sensitive information such as payment-card details is encrypted and transmitted securely (look for "https" and a lock icon in your browser). Only employees who need it to do their jobs — such as billing or customer service — can access personal information, and it is stored in a secure environment to guard against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to Other Websites
Our Site may link to affiliate or other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit. This Policy applies only to information collected by our Site.
