HOW MANY PLAYERS SHOULD I HAVE IN MY GROUP?

When planning their escape room adventure, guests will often ask how many players they should have in their group. Our answer: ESCAPE! Alaska games are designed with 6-8 players in mind, but are playable by as few as 2.

Truthfully, we’ve even had single players successfully solo our games, though that is extremely rare.

The average group size at ESCAPE! Alaska is 4.8 people, and that’s actually a really good number of players. That doesn’t mean you can’t successfully navigate our escape rooms with only 2 players, but you may have to ask for a little more help along the way.

Here’s the breakdown on group sizes and their winning percentages:

GROUP SIZE % WHO WIN

      2 52

      3 58

      4 68

      5 73

      6 79

      7 82

      8 83

Obviously, showing up with a group of 8 does not guarantee a win, and most unsuccessful runs - regardless of personnel - find that they simply didn’t ask for help soon enough. Keep in mind these are averages and do not account for which room you’re playing (some escape games are more difficult) or how experienced you may be.

Win or lose, the bottom line is that you just have fun in the room!
